Halloween Frankenstein Honeydew Slush for Kids
This Halloween Frankenstein Honeydew Slush for Kids turns naturally pale-green melon into a thick frozen drink. The face and paper bolts attach only to the outside of the glass, so nothing crafty touches the slush.

How to make it
- At least 4 hours before serving, cut ripe honeydew into 1-inch cubes, weigh 450 g and freeze the cubes in a single layer until solid.
- Cut two clear removable labels to fit the fronts of two 12 oz straight-sided glasses.
- Use a black food-safe marker to draw a simple Frankenstein face and hair on each label. Stick one label to the outside of each glass.
- Cut four small bolt shapes from clean black paper and tape two to the outside lower sides of each glass; keep all decorations outside the drinks.
- Put the frozen honeydew cubes into a high-speed blender.
- Measure the coconut water and pour it over the fruit.
- Measure and add the lime juice, agave syrup and ice cubes.
- Blend on high for 35–45 seconds, stopping once to scrape down the blender if needed, until thick and spoonable with no large ice pieces.
- Divide the slush evenly between the two decorated glasses, keeping the drink below the top of each label.
- Add a reusable straw to each glass and serve immediately before the slush melts.

Make the slush texture work
Freeze ripe melon completely before blending; partly frozen cubes make a thin drink. If the blender stalls, add coconut water 1 tablespoon at a time. If the slush becomes too loose, blend in a few more frozen honeydew cubes rather than extra ice, which can dilute the melon flavor.

The estimate counts the honeydew, coconut water, lime juice and agave syrup; ice adds no calories. The removable labels, paper bolts and tape stay outside the drink and are not edible. No pulp is strained or discarded. The drink is 0% ABV.
