Christmas Raspberry-Cranberry Snowman Slush for Kids
Blend 70 g frozen raspberries, 80 ml cranberry juice cocktail, 60 ml orange juice, 5 ml maple syrup and crushed ice. Top with plain whipped cream and an optional marshmallow snowman for one 8-minute Christmas slush, about 180 kcal with the measured toppings and no alcohol.
This Christmas Raspberry-Cranberry Snowman Slush for Kids is a bright red, spoonable frozen drink rather than another sparkling fruit punch. Frozen raspberries give it texture; sweetened cranberry juice cocktail and orange juice soften the tartness. Plain whipped cream and an optional marshmallow snowman make a festive finish without alcohol, bitters or vanilla extract.
Includes blending, simple marshmallow decoration and serving immediately; no cooking required.

How to make it
- Prepare the optional snowman face. Melt the measured 1/4 teaspoon dark chocolate gently. With a clean toothpick, dot two eyes and a curved smile onto the large plain marshmallow. Press a tiny sliver of orange zest into the center for a nose. Let the chocolate set; remove the toothpick from the work area before serving.
- Wash the orange and cut one thin orange slice for the rim. Set out the measured whipped cream and sugar sprinkles so the topping can be added quickly.
- Add the frozen raspberries, cranberry juice cocktail, orange juice and maple syrup to a blender. Blend briefly to break up the fruit.
- Add the crushed ice and blend in short pulses for 15–25 seconds, just until the mixture is thick, evenly crushed and spoonable. Stop and scrape down the blender only while it is switched off. If too thick to blend, add 1 tablespoon (15 ml) cold water; this will slightly thin the texture without adding calories.
- Pour the slush into a clean 10–12 fl oz (300–350 ml) cup. Spoon 2 tablespoons whipped cream on top and scatter the measured 1/2 teaspoon sprinkles over the cream.
- Set the decorated marshmallow snowman on the whipped cream and add the orange slice to the rim. Serve immediately with a spoon or a wide, age-appropriate straw. Remove the marshmallow and small garnishes before giving the drink to younger children.

Why use cranberry juice cocktail instead of pure cranberry juice?
Unsweetened 100% cranberry juice is much sharper than cranberry juice cocktail. The sweetened cocktail version balances the frozen raspberries and citrus without needing a large quantity of syrup. The recipe still uses a modest teaspoon of maple syrup; taste the blended base before topping it. If your cranberry juice cocktail is especially sweet, omit the maple syrup next time. That will reduce the estimated calories.
Is this different from Christmas Morning Punch?
Yes. Christmas Morning Punch for Kids is a pour-and-stir cranberry-orange drink topped with bubbles. This recipe uses whole frozen raspberries and crushed ice blended into a slush, then adds a creamy snowman decoration. It is served thick and cold, not fizzy. For a warm alternative, try Gingerbread Caramel Hot Cocoa for Kids.
Make-ahead, allergies and safe serving
For the best texture, blend the slush just before serving. You can measure the fruit and juices ahead, refrigerate the juice mixture and keep the berries frozen. Do not freeze the topped drink: whipped cream and marshmallows will lose their texture. Check dairy and chocolate labels for allergens, and choose a dairy-free whipped topping if necessary. Whole cranberries and small candy decorations are not appropriate for young children; the decorative berries shown in the photo are styling only.
