Halloween Mango Coconut Mummy Smoothie for Kids
This Mango Coconut Mummy Smoothie is a cold, creamy Halloween drink for children. Ripe mango supplies the sweetness, carton coconut milk beverage makes it pourable, and a little ice chills the blend. Children can help draw the mummy eyes while an adult handles cutting and blending.

How to make it
- Set out one clean, dry 8 oz cup per serving. Draw two black eyes on a small paper rectangle for each cup and tape it to the outside, below the rim. Do not use loose craft eyes.
- Wrap narrow strips of clean white paper around the outside of each cup like mummy bandages, leaving the drawn eyes visible. Secure the ends with tape on the outside; keep all paper and tape at least 1 inch below the drinking rim.
- If starting with whole mangoes, an adult washes, peels and cuts the flesh away from the pits on a cutting board. Discard the skin and pits, chop the flesh and measure the chilled mango chunks from the ingredient list.
- Measure the chilled unsweetened coconut milk beverage and pour it into a blender.
- Add the measured mango chunks, followed by the measured ice. Secure the blender lid.
- Blend for 30 to 45 seconds until smooth, with no large ice or fruit pieces. If needed, switch off and unplug the blender before scraping the sides, then replace the lid and blend briefly again.
- Pour the smoothie evenly into the decorated cups, leaving about 1/2 inch below each rim. The mixture should be thick but pourable.
- Serve immediately with spoons or age-appropriate reusable straws. An adult checks that the paper stays outside the cups and removes the decoration if a child starts pulling it loose.

Use ripe mango and the right coconut drink
Choose ripe, sweet mango and chill the cut fruit before measuring it. Firm, sour mango will make a less pleasant smoothie; this recipe uses no added sugar. Measure the edible chunks after removing the skin and pits.
Use plain unsweetened coconut milk beverage from a carton. Canned coconut milk is much richer and will change both texture and calories. Check the ingredient list for alcohol-containing flavorings; use an entirely alcohol-free beverage. Coconut rum and cream liqueurs do not belong in this children’s recipe.
If the blender struggles, turn it off and add 1 tablespoon more coconut beverage before restarting. If the result is too thin, use less ice in the next batch. Any adjustment changes the estimate. There is no citrus or yogurt in this version, so the flavor stays mango-and-coconut rather than tart.
Decorate dry cups before pouring, and keep the top inch completely clear. Drawn eyes avoid loose craft pieces. Paper is an external decoration, not an edible garnish; remove it for children who may pull at it. For a group, scale the ingredients and blend in batches within the blender’s capacity.
For another children’s texture, try the warm Pumpkin Patch Steamer. This smoothie accompanies the adult Blood Moon Rye Boulevardier. Browse the Halloween drinks collection.
Use carton coconut milk beverage, not canned coconut milk, coconut cream or coconut rum. Choose a plain alcohol-free product without alcohol-containing flavorings. Calories count all three drink ingredients and no fruit is strained out; external paper decorations are not edible. Mango ripeness and coconut beverage brands change the estimate.
